Minority Contracting and Purchasing

B&R is a State of Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB), and we are a Disadvantaged Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) certified business through the DFW Minority Supplier Council. Particular to the elevator business, we can survey, source, purchase, and project manage (project management) your project to satisfy your MWBE requirement. We are a total procurement contractor that can meet your needs and a licensed elevator contractor in Texas (TDLR License Number 20039).

General Contracting Work by Others for Elevator Contractors

B&R has experience completing general contracting work for the elevator industry. With the combined extensive knowledge of the elevator scope of work to the general contracting background, we are best suited to working with the elevator subcontractor.

Our approach to the work is looking at the project early on with the elevator subcontractor to establish the scope of work and to begin a conceptual estimate. With the conceptual estimate, the miscellaneous/GC Work budget can be incorporated into the overall elevator estimate so the elevator contractor can have the discussion with the building owner. If it is a hard bid scenario, we can provide a firm fixed price for this bidding scenario. Once the final pricing is established, we can contract you and start the work. Along with the pricing, we will collaborate with you on determining a sequence of work activities for us and the elevator contractor. We are here to collaborate with you on the time and work means to complete your project in a timely manner.

Our work can be as simple as repairing and painting walls to something more complex such as fire alarm integration, electrical, and mechanical & plumbing upgrades. If you ask us to provide a price, we will collaborate with you on this.

With our professional experience and expertise, we will provide you with a competitive price that will work with your schedule needs. We are an MBE & HUB certified contractor who can help you with your minority participation needs.

Insurance Elevator Consulting

We have experience in reviewing a variety of elevators and escalators in different building types such as offices, data centers, casinos, and hotels. Texas, California, and Mississippi are the different states that we have worked in, and we will travel to other states when requested. When called upon, we review the equipment and the occurrence holistically. The review starts with the broad occurrence with all the who, when, where, and why down to the details with the elevator or escalator. We will meet with the contractors involved and provide a due diligence pricing review to our clients. Insurance companies request us to use our expertise to review the elevator or escalator damage and provide a detailed comparative estimate.
